I got accepted to Chamberlain

I just got notice that I have been accepted to Chamberlain to begin April 26th with completion by July 2011. Talk about short notice. Anyway they are giving me 84 credit hours.

I've also just heard my daughter is 3 credit hours shy of her graduation for May 2010. Looking like Mom waits again. Ugh!

How quickly excitement fades.......

Thanks all. I have one question. Will my degree say "online"? I guess I am still nervous.

I don't think so -- Chamberlain also has a brick-and-mortar program, so I'm pretty sure it'll just say "Chamberlain College of Nursing." I'll let you know for sure after I graduate in June! :D Congrats on your acceptance! Sorry about those pesky three credits.

I'm not going anywhere! I'm an allnurses addict, ha ha, and the distance learning forum was my first "home" here. :D Love it!

Is it necessary to get the Leddy and Peppers book for the Transitions class? I start on Monday and would prefer to find a way NOT to purchase the book. All suggestions wanted.

I am just finishing that course, and I'm glad I got the book. My prof was super picky about postings, and using the book as a reference for the postings.

Since you have graduated from Chamberlain, I was wondering if you think it would be doable to take the Econ. class and the capstone together. Only have those two left and would like to get it over with. thanks for the insight

Nancy, I think it depends on how much free time you have -- do you work full time, have kids, etc.? For me, Econ was fairly demanding only because I'd never taken any Econ before, and it was like learning a foreign language the first few weeks (i.e., I felt like an idiot!!). As long as you have plenty of free days each week and aren't a procrastinator, you could probably do both together. I took Econ by itself, though. Good luck, whatever you decide to do, and congrats on being almost done!!! :) That is awesome.

Thanks for your time. I think that I will try it.
