I'm sure there are threads on this forum about this but, after putting in a search, wasn't able to "eeny meeny miney mo" which one would be the best one to click on. Anyhoo, question is, what is the absolute best NCLEX-RN review book out there? There are some by Lippincott, Kaplan, etc. I've heard A LOT of students say that the questions on a lot of our nursing tests are directly from these books. However, which ones?

Are there any online sites that have NCLEX questions for review? Any free ones, preferably?

My personal favorite is NCLEX-RN Questions & Answers Made Incredibly Easy. It's got tons of questions and answers, broken down by each body system, and my favorite part is they provide the rationale for each answer in terms that I can really understand. I found mine on amazon.com and I've seen them on half.com too.

Have you ever seen actual questions from this book on a nursing test? Too, do they make them as tricky as nursing tests taken in the classroom?

Back when Dinasaurs roamed the earth, I used Mosby's. Worked for me.

I advise my students to use the books in a different way, to pass the exam.

Do not open the book to study, Take the exams first, cold. See what your strengths and weakness' are. Study the areas you are weak in, and then hit the strengths last.

When I was going through nursing school, myself and my classmates used a cd that was just questions. It allowed you to focus on certain areas by choosing a category. We saw a lot of the same questions on our class tests. It was called the NCLEX 3000. I purchased mine from Barnes & Noble. Hope this helps.

I agree the NCLEX review made incredibly easy is really good. I also have the NCLEX 3000, it is excellent.

And we also were required to buy the NCLEX review by Saunders, it is really good as well. It begins each section with an outline of the important info for that system and then gives practice questions.

Also remember to check out the discs that come with your textbooks, (Med/Surg, Peds, etc.) The discs that come with those often have practice questions and helpful exercises.

Good Luc with the studying and these books and discs are a good way to study for exams. There may not be the exact same questions but, there will be similar ones. JJ
