Graceland student seeing the light!

I haven't been posting heavily for awhile because I have been getting my butt kicked at school. It has become very demanding with my clinical rotations in the mix, and more than once I have found myself wondering if I have bitten off more than I can chew. Like many of you I have a spouse and child and it is tough sometimes knowing they are disappointed because Daddy is down in the basement again reading, writing, etc.

But even though I haven't been posting doesn't mean I haven't been reading. You guys without perhaps realizing it, are a large part of my strength, especially crazy Lunah , all my Georgia peeps! (Fight the power!), and all those currently receiving PTSD treatment post CPNE. In any case, for all of you who are struggling, you will eventually be fine. We all will.

Thanks for your inspiration (and your perspiration)!

Ivan

Ps, For those of you who aren't familiar with Graceland it has nothing to do with Elvis.....but I wish it did.

He lives! Welcome back, my friend. I am glad things are going well for you! And yes, I am still the Lunah-tic. :D

Ivan3, you've been a great help to us with your document that LunahRN helped with. I have a couple of mnemonics for the CPNE that I actually told myself were so nutty that they were Ivan-esque. :)

When will you be done with your program?

I need the PTSD tx now, even though I haven't dealt with the CPNE quite yet, but soon. I am looking heavily into Graceland...I live in southern Iowa, so it isn't that far away from me to do the on-site requirements. Lots of Graceland FNP students do clinicals at my nurse practitioner's office, so I've had several care for me. They are great.

You can (and will!) do it--the work will so be worth it!

I am at 11 months and counting! I still have two more clinicals sites to set up which will be daunting tasks (you will see when the time comes!), but assuming that goes well I will actually start to coast after this rotation goes by. I will only be taking two classes each semester for my last two semesters. It will be nice and manageable.

Good luck on your CPNE and thanks!

Ivan

Hard work will pay off! I'd glad to hear the load is lightening up.. I had planned to do Graceland's FNP program but I'm getting cold feet. Good luck with the rest of your program!
