I have been looking for a program of some kind where I can sign a work contract with a hospital or whomever then go to school and have my tution be paid for well i'm in school then go to work when i'm done.

Can anyone give me some info on where to find something like this? :wink2:

You have to see what is available in your area. I know of one such program in the city where I went to school, and another program in the city where I now live and work. The common factor to both programs is that you have to be an employee of a hospital before joining the nursing program, then your employer will pay for your school; you are expected to work for that hospital for approx. 2 years after graduation to repay your debt. A good place to start would be calling the local colleges to see what they offer. Good luck :)

There are several of these programs in my area. However, they only accept applications after you've finished Med Surg I (GI/GU). You may want to look on your school's website or the websites of the hospitals in your area for more information.

a sponsorship maybe. but some of the government positions , such as the VA would pardon your student loan if you stay w/ them for two years. some hospital would do this.......how about a University hospital?

We have it here in Kansas City -- HCA (Health Midwest) will pay your tuition at Research College of Nursing (Rockhurst affiliated) if you work for an HCA hospital for 2 years. I've been accepted into the accelerated BSN program for Fall '09.

Both hospitals in our area do this, call all the local HR departments and ask them, good luck!
