I just got a job offer on Friday!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) I'll be working about 2 shifts a month in the ER. 8 or 12-hour shifts depending on which job I'm doing. I decided to get a second job for two reasons. The first being because there is no overtime allowed in the job I'm doing. Second because I'm working occupational health and safety and I didn't want to lose my skills.

I Am going to be working 3-12 hour shifts starting the 14th of this month. We'll see how that works. If I can, I may swing in a weekend or two during the month...

I don't really want another job, but if I do find another one, it'll be because I don't want to lose my clinical skills either. I currently work in LTC. Only 1 trach and 1 IV in the building.....

I work full time as a diabetes educatior - 40-48 hours/week. Rare weekends and no holidays. It is a salary job. I also work every other weekend at an after-hours call line (telephone triage nursing). Why? Because I want to keep up on my other areas. Other why? Hubby is in school. Will I quit when he's done? I'm not sure. I kind of like it!

great question! i work full time in a hospital setting (ur,dcp, ic, & pi) and i also have a wellness business that i work about 4 hours a week on the average. why.....so that i can retire much earlier than anticipated! after 34 yrs in healthcare..it is awesome to have a fun job that i actually get a check from. the income is there even if i take a week or a month off. can't do that anywhere else. also, hanging out with like minded persons is rewarding in many ways. they are supportive and encourage growth and will help you anytime. additionally, the people who are my customers in this arena truly want health and are grateful once it is acheived. rewards galore! is truly the best thign i have ever done for myself and for my health. that is why!
