OK, OB nurses, I need your expertise. This does not leave this forum, OK??
I have only been on Desogen for 10 years or so, and still find it so easy to forget to take the dam* thing. Here is what I have done. Weekend before last, March 17, I should have started a new pack of pills. Atypically, I worked all weekend and forgot to start them till Sunday the 18th, around 1800 hours. This would not be such a big deal had I not later forgotten to take my pill 3 days in a row, the 23rd, 24th, and 25th. I did NOT work that weekend, and my husband and I, shall we say, made up for lost time. Monday morning I realized I'd forgotten 3 pills in a row, sort of panicked, and on Monday the 26th, Tuesday the 27th, and Wednesday the 27th I took 2 pills each day to try to get back on track.
So, at the very time I had inexplicably neglected my weed control, I was most industriously applying fertilizer, and I am concerned I may be blooming. My question to you all is, how likely is a pregnancy at this point? I am continuing to take my Desogen daily and I worry about how this could affect a burgeoning baby. I really don't feel ready for this yet, I just got married last year and want more time with my husband, but if it is so, then I want to avoid poisoning the poor child. This is not an arena of great knowledge for me. I don't want to mess myself up by stopping the Desogen now if in fact I am not pregnant, but I worry about what all those synthetic hormones could be doing to a developing fetus. I certainly have plans to test myself in the near future, as soon as I can rely on some test results, and I want to make it clear that I am NOT seeking medical advice here. I just want to know if y'all have seen horrible results from taking BCPs while newly pregnant. (Not to mention I am distracted out of my mind and would like to know one way or the other ASAP)
Your opinions and expertise cannot possibly be transmitted to my computer fast enough, so thank you tons in advance.
