I have a CNA question

i'm going to be taking a cna class next month and i want to know how hard it is to get a cna job with no weekends?

i am in iowa and in my area there is pretty much no chance of getting a cna job without having to work every other (or sometimes every third) weekend and also every other holiday. this is healthcare and the residents/patients don't go away on the weekends. there may be some areas that you could work like a clinic maybe, but usually they are advertising for medical assistants here.

good luck to you!

It's next to impossible to get a CNA job without working weekends. Yes the only place you might luck out is if you find a job working at a clinic.:)

I had a job with a school system ...they called me a health assistant ...for a few years. Also I worked for a hospital where they had a Baylor program( basically fulltime weekend only staff) so I was able to work Mon-Fri there but they did away with that after a few years. You might just have to look around. Good luck!!!

hi! im a nurse in the philippines and i am presently an academician. i was tasked by my manager to research on the cna program. i have already downloaded information regarding cna on red cross and to other schools. but since the setting is in the philippines and many schools are now offering this program. waht my manager wants is to make our school on top of everything. and make the cna program ahead from others. i dont know exactly wht he wanted to say and as a nurse im not familiar with the cna because this 2 are different. if you were to asked, what the best thing/s in cna program? i hope you could a reply for me. thanks.god speed!!!!!!! :p

hi. here in maine it's easy to get employed on the night shift during the week. you may also look for agency work or take shifts per diem.

I would say try to work in a clinic or work per diem. At my hospital if you work per diem you only have to work 2 weekend days a month.
