  1. Thanks for the post nurse dependent. after a few hours of balancing my heart and mind i eventually came up to a decision to indulge to the profession i swore. last time, i went to two premiere hospitals here in the philippines and i applied for the position of a nurse. i was advised to wait for a call to set for an interview and hopefully for the examinations. thanks for your concern. may god bless you and your family. hope we could exchange more ideas. you can send me your email address and hope to communicate with you regularly.
  2. Thank you very much for that quick reply!!! I surfed the net that you recommended me and now i know that what he received is truly a scam. this woud really help us. thanks again. god bless!!!!!
  3. There are e-mail messages sending a post regarding a winning combination or a luck that you won from a lottery. A friend of mine told me not to divulge this information to anyone but he is so very confused on how did he received such a winning notification in which in the first place he did not join. According to them, the e-mail addresses where selected randomly and that he won. there are efforts made by he gaming institution(?) by calling him but the call was of no success. Anybody from UK, please confirm this address and their company........ This would mean a lot. thanks. THE NATIONAL LOTTERY P.O.BOX 1010 LIVERPOOL,L70 1NL UNITED KINGDOM (Customer services) and please give some advise.... god speed!!!
  4. Hi!!! Actually I have spoken with my sister this early morning( Philippine time) > She told me that it's actually my choice whether to have a nurse job as early as now or what. I have told her that while im still earning as an academician , this will be my bullet to at least pay for most of the documentation fees and for some of my review. But she told me that the agency there in US is looking for candidates who are experienced in clinical setting for at least a minimum of two years. I'm actually anxious on what to prioritize. To be a first entry nurse here in the philippines would mean sacrificing my income which also means i will not receive a pay for my work. and thats basically the reson why im ambivalent. experience wise, it would give me the necessary skills for the attainment of my mission. but then, i still have to... you know make a living since im a family person. i have a kid, she's 4 years old and in kinder right now. my husband works as a nutritionist-dietitian cum fitness instructor at one of the premiere spa. but id like to thank for your post coz it somewhat rang my bell..... thanks.. hope to hear more from you...\ by the way, where are you now working?
  5. its good to see the post that ived been reviewing for a while. hi! im a nurse in the philippines and presently i am working as an academmician. im teaching caregiver students and nurses. our traning center ( caregiving course) is planning to open a cna program. but there are a lot of cna programs here open for those who want to work abroad. definitely our graduates will be deployed abroad. but the thing is, my manager is asking me about the essentials of cna. i dont know exactly what kind of information does he need. probably he is a businessman and having difficulty expressing the right term for his need. basically, what he wanted is something that the other schools or training center does not have. ived downloaded red cross and other schools of cna in US and researched it. and actually ive come up with a good curriculum ( i believe so!!) that is patterned in US. but the thing is he is looking for inouts that i cannot even integrate what he really wanted. and as a nurse he expects me to spearhead the cna program. but being a nurse to administer a NEW program is different. if its not too much i'd like to ask for your testimonies and what's the best thing about your experience on both the clinical and theoretical field. i hope i am not asking too much but i would be grateful if yu could grant my request.... anybody who can give inputs??? please feel free to post! thanks! :wink2:
  6. hi! im a nurse in the philippines and i am presently an academician. i was tasked by my manager to research on the cna program. i have already downloaded information regarding cna on red cross and to other schools. but since the setting is in the philippines and many schools are now offering this program. waht my manager wants is to make our school on top of everything. and make the cna program ahead from others. i dont know exactly wht he wanted to say and as a nurse im not familiar with the cna because this 2 are different. if you were to asked, what the best thing/s in cna program? i hope you could a reply for me. thanks.god speed!!!!!!!
  7. Tnx for the post! but I think you misinterpreted what I had mentioned a while ago. I have not taken my cg yet but I am making ways to get it by march of next year which is the next exam date. However, I am making troubles which documents to pass . The school sent a separate documents and my friends are telling me things differently regarding which docs should I send to cg main office. I am also looking for review centers for ielts, although i am a second courser (AB Communication Arts) I am kinda anxious on what to expect pa kasi. Is it alright to spend my days working as a teacher while awaiting for my exams? or should I give in being a clinician? Are there employers who can sponsor nurses who were not able to practice their profession? have you taken your ielts? :)
  8. HI!!!!!!!!! I am also like you wondering which step to take first due to lots of priorities... I cannot give you advise yet but since you already have taken some of the rquired exams can I just get your advise regarding my situation. I took my NLe this year and passed it on June 2005. Right now, Iam not conected with any hospital. My school already sent the requirements for cg but what will I accomplish here to be able to grant an exam date next year. What will I take first? I am considering to take my IELTS but I also heared that I can overake cg and instead take my NCLEX. Since you already gone through most of it, can you please give me suggestion.. I hope I did not add to your confusion. Tnx!!!!!!!
  9. I'm a post graduate of AB communication Arts major in advertising and is priviledged to have my license as a nurse. Prsently, I am an academician. If Instructors were to give exams that is subjctive like essay, there is no right or wrong because it is hard to quantify such type. Nonetheless, the instructor have stated the guide questions in which you have to answer. By this, your instructor has a say on how to grade your essay based on the pre-set criteria. The checking of an essay exam should be continuous meaning once an exam paper has been checked the rest must be checked in one sitting. and the names should be hidden so as to prevent bias. You have to first approach your instructor and have him.her explain the rationale of the grading. You have to approach him/her in a cam manner. Remember, whatever the battle is/ s/he is stil your instructor! :balloons:
