Good news. I did catch them in a lie about who graded the exam and I am well on my way to having my grade changed.

You are correct. The females are the most unfair. Thank you for your kind post. I obviously can't explain all details online, but I assure you that I did not cheat as others on this board have implied. This was an in class exam and I am being refused access to even see the exam or the grade. I know that it will work out. People always get caught in lies. There are enough honest people to override some of them.

I just want to see the exam. That isn't defacing anyone.

hmmmm, Great observations and I thought there was more to the story. BSN, you will not win. You will have to make the choice is best for you. I do not understand why you want to get yourself under the thumb of scrutinize with your nursing school. It does not make any sense. Just get your grade, complete the rest of your work with As and you have the whole semenster to complete the course with a high grade. In addition, there are plagerize programs that will tell a professor/s if someone plagerize. You can purchase the program as well. If that did occur in your circumstances. Oh, keep all of your materials use in your paper to show them if you are question. The proof is in the pudding as one would say. I hope you are not in that situation at all. Good luck and do not be upset if you get yourself in deeper by trying to deface an instructor. It is not worth it at all. Yes, you deserve a reply about your paper and explaination what has happen to it. You are not in the position to deface an instructor and you will be known by everyone if you try to do it. I know everyone means well, but the forget it and move on approach will not work. This could jeopardize me getting into NP school. It is that severe. I have to appeal and get to the truth. Changing schools is not an option, because the other schools would require at least a year and thousands of $$$ more. I know that you have to pick and choose your battles. That doesn't mean that I should accept being wronged. If nursing instructors are willing to lie, who is to say they might not make a mistake in clinical that could cost someone something much more than a grade.

This all sounds very frustrating. I am getting ready to go to work as a nurse tech. I have chosen an area other than the one I am interested in as an RN. Hopefully I won't have that problem. Good luck to you.

I need advice. I have an instructor who graded me low on a test and will not allow me to see the exam. The exam was essay, so everything is subjective. It is now in the hands of her superior. She is stating that she did not grade the exam, another instructor did. I have spoken with the other instructor and she did not grade the exam. I cannot trust her superiors to tell them this. They stick together. I am going through the university system to get this resolved. So far it has been a good amount of time and I still haven't seen the exam. Going through the channels will take 3-4 months. Is there anything else I can do? Shouldn't I be able to report this instructor to the State Board of Nursing without anything being done to me. I am afraid to do anything because they all stick together. This should be illegal. Please help. If anyone knows of anyone I can contact, please let me know. And please don't tell me this is trivial. I have spent many sleepless nights over this woman's lies. You have no idea what she has put me through.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I'm really worried because my school requires 850 and if you fail 3 times, you are no longer in the nursing program. I am not worried about NCLEX yet because you get multiple chances from what I understand. It is the number of attempts with HESI that has me on edge. I will be out thousands of dollars if I don't pass.

I didn't pass my first HESI and studied numerous hours and thousands of questions. I have the HESI book and CD and Saunders newest edition. Any suggestions?

I thought that there were 15 gtt in one ml. One instructor told me a couple of days ago that it is 60 gtt per ml per Peds. I think that she is wrong. Any thoughts?

With the new format questions in Saunders CR Review, if you don't get the exact spelling, word for word, it counts the entire answer wrong. Is NCLEX this way?

This cannot be let go. She is failing people who are making the same scores on the exams as the people she is giving the As. It is a favoritism contest. I don't know for sure that I will pass this course unless I take action.

I have many friends who are teachers and none of them think that my instructors methods are ethical, to say to least. In fact, most think that she doesn't deserve to have a job. I appreciate your support. I'll let you guys know how this turns out in a couple of months. (end of semester).

This instructor is not getting rid of "bad" questions because the answers are in the book or notes in most cases. Also, the I find the fact that she nullifies 15-26 percent of each test odd. She is picking questions that her favorites miss and throwing them out. I have proof.

I understand what you are saying, but this has already been reported to her chariman who said "There is nothing I can do." So waiting is the best option at this point.
