Nursing Jobs in Utah

I have considered moving to Utah for some time now, but I'm not sure it would be worth it or not. Coming from California.... I can't stand living in Cali TBH. It's overcrowded and people are rude, and it's SO HOT!!!!! I'm just curious if it's worth living in Utah and being a nurse. In CA they get paid decently, but the cost of living is so high. Does anyone have any input about what the pay is like in Utah for LPN and for RN? What the cost of living is like? How do you find jobs? Is it difficult to find employment? Any input would be great, thanks!

There is an Allnurses member from Utah. Maybe they'll respond to you, or someone else from Utah. The user from Utah used to send me pics of Utah, looks gorgeous but he did say the pay wasn't the greatest. The cost of living was pretty similar to Houston COL and based off our conversations, they pay was less in Utah. So I don't think the pay reflects/keeps up with the COL well.

Have you considered Nevada?

Side Note: I live in Houston. TX and the city is crowded and doesn't offer the things I like. It is a huge industrial/port city with poor public transportation. The city is HUGE and spread out and the suburbs are never-ending.

I personally want to live somewhere like Washington/Oregon/Northern California.

What part of California are you from?

I heard it's good if you are Morman and a little strange if you are not ...no personal experience, though.

Southern California. It is SO expensive, and the people are dirty and rude. I can't stand it. I grew up here and it's just getting worse honestly. Not a good place to raise a family IMO. Not to mention, OVERCROWDED!

I would say Oregon might be nice. Northern Cali, I know is EXTREMELY expensive but the weather is nice. My friend moved up there but they are coming back because they miss their family. She is considering moving again when her husbands kids get older I think she said
