Hi all! I just took the NCLEX yesterday, woke up this morning and called into the automated service provided by Virginia BON. After giving my information, I heard my name and "current active" which I would take to mean I passed, but after that it said "hold for license issued on October 9." Does anyone know what the "hold" thing is about? I also tried the pearson vue trick and got the good pop up, so it seems like I'm a bona fide RN, but this "hold" situation is weirding me out. Any thoughts would be appreciated! I don't want to go into the weekend second guessing myself and I'm on the west coast right now so the VA BON has closed up shop for the weekend. Thanks for any responses!

And no, you are NOT a "bona fide" RN until you KNOW.

Check Monday. Nothing else anyone tells you matters in the slightest, as no one can possibly know if you passed but have a license on hold for some reason (and it might not be issued)...if you failed and won't get a license....or if you passed but will get a license. You aren't bona fide anything until you have official results.
