Ok, I posted about this, and got no response in the international forums...guess no-one abroad sees this show!
We plugged the telly in the ward and watched the final...must admit, we were all slapped right in the chops that Rhydian didn't win, thought he was the true winner. BUT....the wee SCOTTISH boy did it...Leon, he's only 18! He has a fantabulous voice, so now, peeps, just buy his stuff, make him no1 at Xmas, he just wants to buy his Mammy a House!!
Rhydian will make it on his own, he has the talent! What about the absolute drivel that were "same difference"...........Butlins here we come!:trout:

I love X factor and was surprised by the result. I heard on the radio today that Rhyddian has been offered a million pound contract
but I can't find anything on the web. Guess this was a rumour - but I hope he gets it - he was amazing
Rhydian was amazing, wasn't he, we were also surprised that he didn't win. i also read in the paper that he had that deal...and is in talks with Lloyd webber re playing the Phantom on Broadway. Good luck to him, he's amazing!!:w00t:
Lloyd Webber turned Rhydian down when he auditioned for the Joseph musical (I think). Glad to hear Rhydian can finally fulfill his dream! I've got to see Phantom again soon in the West End

Oh, just read back your posts! So you are a singer??? You have to let us know, when you audition, just who you are, so if you get through we can vote for ya babe!!!:w00t:
What do you sing btw, and how do you rate Leon,? and Leona from last year????
Me, I'm no a singer, although I sing along all the time to stuff I love, I don't care that I'm bad..I just love the tunes!!!
Oh..my opinion...Leon, he's a great wee guy, good voice, but I don't think he can sing swing as good as Ray Quinn from last year! And Leona.., personally, I cant stand her. Shes a whitney/maria wanna-be, and that leaves me cold.
Hey Danissa,
Well I'm not really a singer. I want to audition to gain experience and of course be on national television for that 3 minute-fame lol. But I'm passionate about singing too. If the judges would ask during the auditions if I would give up my education for a career in the music industry then I'd say I can do both - not at the same time of course.
I listen to all sorts of music i.e. from acappella to heavy metal but I'm currently liking contemporary rnbs.
I really enjoy singing contemporary music (rnb, pop-rock and also alternative/experimental music). I make every song I sing as my own really.
But I'll be singing 1 ballad and a jazz at audition:

I think Leon is too average for me and I think I could sing better than him lol:mad:. But yeah Ray Quinn is a lot better at swing compared to Leon. And I think Britain has heard enough of swing music on the X Factor so I might as well find my niche in another music genre e.g. contemporary pop-rock and bring a whole new league to the competition. lol Bring it on
That's soo true! And I don't like Leona either for she impersonates when she sings. Sharon once raised the issue of Leona shaking her lips like Christina Aguilera. Her album single called Bleeding Love - and I keep hearing this played everyday - annoys me like mad lol.
The X Factor team hasn't given me my schedule yet but I'll let you know all in due course. Are you still in Scotland? If so why not audition as well hehe;) I've put down on my application that I want to be auditioned in London. To those interested you can now apply online: http://application.xfactor.tv/
Markus.
Hey Markus! Will look out for you in the audition stages of the next X Factor!
Watch your songs..(this advice from a non-singer, but music fanatic!!!) Mickey bubble is v Very popular , loads of folks will be singing his stuff, especially after Leon's win. maybe something different to "wow" the judges and "make the song your own??" I will rack the auld brain, and come up with a suggestion or two, that you can go yuk at, or think about!!!
Good on you for having the Ba**s to go for it !..
Yes, I'm still in Scotland, and NO way would I audition, I sing...(badly!), but would rather shoot myself in the foot, than humiliate myself, like others we all laugh at!
What did you think of Rhydian then?
And it's a relief to talk with a like minded music lover, who thinks Leona is pants!
Progress reports required on this from our own singstar!!
Best of luck to you!
