Hi,
Well I used the Nationwide (savings account with them). Nat West were going to charge more 16 - 18 I think.
But you don't get it straight away, they take your pass book and sent it back to you with the cheque (seperatly)

It is a pain but banks do get away with charging us whatever they want..... Banks again in the US are not much better from what I can gather in the US and we don't have the same protection, apparently if we give our bank details out can be used by the person even if we cancel something or so I have read on a couple of other sites
WELL HAVE PAID THE $1005 plus £18 bank charges, you have to laugh when I was questioning the charge today, the obnotious male bank assistant was South African and informed me, that here in this country we work in pounds Sterling, I dont know how I refrained from say 'I am well aware that we use £ sterling in this country, after all I have been born and bred here'.
Mmmmmmn did anybody else living in the UK notice that we use £'s here or had they missed that strange phenomenen like I had.
