World Religions

If you look at OU's Cross-Cultural Gen Ed requirements, they have a few world religions classes listed. Each world religion class offered at OU focuses on only one specific religion. They don't have a broader world religions class. At my local community college, there are only a few world religion classes, and none of them focus on a specific religion. They are broader, sampling a number of religions covered throughout the semester. Has anyone else had a similar world religions class that transferred to OU?

My problem: I am signed up for a (broad) world religions class at the local community college to start in Jan. I would rather take this class at the local community college than one at OU if I knew it would transfer. I wanted to fill out the Transient Pre-Approval form to find out now if it will transfer in, but I need to have an equivalent class at OU to compare it to. Since OU world religion classes are specific to one religion, and the one I want to take is more broad, they don't even come close to comparing... So I can't really use the Transient Pre-Approval form.

Essentially... I'm hoping the lenient credit transfer reputation of OU will apply here and I'll get credit for this class. Was hoping someone could tell me if they had a similar class transfer in, though!

Sorry for a long winded question.

Merry Christmas!

11nick, send the form in with the class description. I have done that for many electives and all of them transferred. They might take it. I didn't know OU equivalent but the transfer evaluator accepted them all. Can't hurt
