Working in Wyoming

Has anyone ever worked in wyoming , sheridan, specifically?

I have posted this in the wyoming forum,,but no one answers.

I cannot confirm or deny that I have ever worked as a nurse in Sheridan. What do you want to know?

It is a small town that has seen a fair amount of Californication over the past few years. The hospital is fairly typical for a rural hospital in the United States. They have an ER, a surgical theatre, radiology facilities with CT, a med/surg unit, ob & woman's health, and even a small paeds area and ICU. Any major illness or injury is shipped out to Billings or Casper with a few subspecialty patients who go to Denver. Sheridan also has two long term care facilities and a VA medical centre complete with an inpatient psychiatric centre. Sheridan also has a surgical centre that is separate from the hospital and several physicians offices.

You can expect pretty spartan pay and the typical nursing issues that plague our profession in most other facilities throughout the United States. If you do not like winter, steer clear of Sheridan as they have a rather long winter season. The big horn mountains are close and offer they typical outdoor activities; however, traffic and congestion on the way up the mountains can be a problem. The highway is being worked on, but I expect that to bring in even more people.
