Working Easter anyone?

Those who celebrate Easter, who else has to work tomorrow? Do you get paid holiday pay? Our hospital doesn't pay holiday pay for Easter but it's counted towards our one spring/summer required holiday.

I volunteered since we don't do anything in the afternoon.

I worked it. It is not considered a holiday in our facility. :specs: Straight time, but if you called out, you had to have a doctor's note.

Its not a holiday where I work either. We made the best of it tho and had a potluck. Amazingly enough, it was a very quiet night and we were all able to sit and enjoy all the goodies at different points in the shift. :)

At my facility it is a holiday if your weekend happens to fall on it so it's time and a half. If it's not your weekend it's not a holiday. It's not part of holiday rotation either

Worked it; considered a holiday. I also worked Christmas Day and had told myself "It's a holiday like Christmas so people with dubious emergencies will hold off on coming to the ER" since my Christmas shift was so slow and quiet. I was so, so wrong! It was a really busy night and I had my first 'ingrown toenail emergency' patient. People never cease to amaze me!

I always end up working on Easter around here, and it's not considered a holiday. Next year I'm going to ask for it off. :sniff:

I worked. Where I work there is no extra holiday pay, period. Thankfully it was nice and quiet, a 180 from what it's usually like.
