Work Tablet

The agency that I am employed with gives us nurses a work tablet with the ability to access each client's medical record, chart visits, order supplies, etc. I feel this makes my job as a fulltime RN with this company very manageable and keeps me organized as well. Anyone else utilize a work tablet?

I love using the tablet, also love dictating my notes no more lengthy typing.

An acquaintance had one for one of her agencies and always had problems using it. She said she wasted so much time on a daily basis because she could not get/give her information in either direction, and said that plain old paperwork with phone turned out to be a better option for all the time she wasted.

I have a laptop. I'm not so sure I'd love a tablet, I'm a fast typer, I'd rather just type my notes.

Charting in electronic format for me is much more preferable to paper form. I can sync completed visits for 7 to 8 patients including 2 to 3 admissions in about two hours of after-visit charting and my day is done. Absolutely looooove my tablet!

Hi,

I'm currently looking for a tablet to purchase, my agency doesn't provide one. However won't mind bitting the bullet to speed up my da and productivity.

Look forward to you response. Ty

Everyone in my agency uses a tablet... all work is done through there, notes, charting, etc. If you are tech savvy, its easier to use and fast. if not, you will struggle. My only ***** about them is it is hard to go from screen to screen to find information. Wish there was an option for a "two screen" view like I have on my phone.
