Will UTAs program accept me if my science GPA is a 3.25?

Hi. I’m currently making a C in A&P2 and really do not want to retake it, but I might have to. If I have a score of at least 7 I should be okay right? Please help.

I think it depends on a few factors. It’s been quite some time since I applied there, but I know that they have “considerations” on acceptance. One of them was if you took 3 out of your 4 sciences from them. If you are a transfer student, then I would definitely retake it. If not, I would probably still plan on retaking it eventually. I would also apply to other local schools. UTA denied me as a transfer student with a 3.75 science and cumulative GPA about 7 years ago.

I am a transfer but I have 2 considerations.

I would definitely retake the class. Your ranking score is calculated from your science GPA and cumulative GPA. The program is super competitive. I applied for Fall 2019 admission with a science GPA of 3.75 and overall GPA of 3.7 and I did not get in. Good luck to you !

Jesus are you serious? Were you trying to transfer in?

Yes, I transferred from Dallas Community College. I retook a class over the summer which boosted my GPA to a 3.8. I got for Spring 2020. Strive for A’s in your classes, and nothing less than a B in your sciences. You can do it !

Did you have any other considerations?

Technically you need a minimum 2.75 GPA for the core science classes to qualify. Online is more competitive than on campus from what I have been told.
