WIA Funding pulled

Not sure where to post this, just thought people would like to know. The down turn in the economy is hitting home hard in my town. :( Our local WIA office is being "audited" and there may be no funding for next quarter. They were not sure if they would have answers in a week or a month. Here's the kicker..I asked how long an audit usually takes they said, "we've never been audited before." :eek:Well, hopefully it's not as bad as it sounds.

What's WIA?

What's WIA?

WIA- workforce investment act. At least that's what it stands for in Florida. It's a state funded program that people can apply to and if they meet the requirements their schooling will be paid for including books and uniforms if needed.

That really stinks that they may be cutting the funding in your area. I know a few years ago the entire state got audited. It didn't hold up the money that much longer though. I think maybe a few weeks. I hope everything works out for you.

It's good to hear that it may not take long. It's a great program. At least my prereqs are done!
