Why is the Screen Designed to Go Blank?

If I were designing the NCLEX software, I would program a smiley face and some fireworks with a message like "Good Luck, and have a nice day!" to pop up at the end (or something like that). This would be so much better than just letting the screen go blank. I hate to sound critical, but I think it's a little brutal in a way.

It would also be neat if they could take you into a room with a guard and a counselor, and give you the results (I know this one is a bad idea for a variety of reasons, but the "Good Luck" screen doesn't seem like that much to ask).

Any thoughts?

Regards,

Mukfay

If someone figured out that they could make the test taker pay for the immediate results notification, like big time pay, I would think they would do it. But, it is always said that this info is left to the board, because there may be some reason for them to withhold the good or bad news. At least you don't have to wait like people who took it in the old days had to wait.

I agree it is brutal. It made me feel disappointed. A smiley would have made me feel better about the whole exam!!!!!

Yes a smiley or a "good luck" will send us home, not totally blanked.

I was scared to see the screen went blue. It's like, it's the end of

my chance of showing there are other areas yet that I was not tested ,

so please don't make this screen blank.
