Why OR nursing?

I am a BSN student about to graduate in May and am very interested in the OR. In order to be considered for an OR position, I need a statement of interest for the OR. I loved the OR in my clinical rotations and need of input of why other OR nurses love their job.

This is going to be a lot more powerful and more likely to be successful if you find the words to speak simply from your OWN thoughts/emotions/desires. That is what they are wanting, not a cookie-cutter regurgitation of someone else's passions. That is the equivalent of cheating.

Start by making a list of everything you loved about it in great detail. Don't neglect putting emotions on there. Then use that as a guide to help you write your statement.

Best of luck.
