I am starting an LPN ladder program this fall. Do you recommend getting familiar with NCLEX questions over this summer? If so, which book? Ive heard good things about Saunders. The newest addition I can find is the NCLEX-PN from 2009. Should I be concerned about new editions coming out anytime soon?

It's possible they may come out with one soon, but changes have to go through with the NCLEX, I believe, before they change the edition of the book. 2009 was only 2 years ago. Since you are starting your program this fall and (I'm guessing) it lasts a year or so, the book should not be outdated to the point where 3 years is too old. I think you should be good.

I have Saunders, Lippincott, and Davis. Davis is by far the best.

And yes, start now. It will help you with your testing in the RN program. GL to you!

I would call your school and ask, if they are available over the summer. Our program requires a specific NCLEX prep book as part of our textbook purchases, so buying a random one first might be a waste of money (although you might like yours better than the required one).
