I just recently signed a 3-month travel contract in Auburn Medical starting in May in the emergency department. I am wondering if there is anyone hare currently employed with multicare in Auburn? What is it like? I am mainly doing night shift and I am deciding where to rent a place. I was hoping to be at least closer to Seattle but also not too much commute?

Thank you guys.

Worked at Auburn for 16 yrs and grew up in the area.

You can always catch the sounder into Seattle, from Auburn.

If you want to stay within a 30 min commute from Auburn, you'd probably want to look at Renton, Kent area.

Auburn used to be good, then went insanely bad. Multicare stepped in and bought the hospital. Some of my friends say is better, and others say the nurse/pt ratio went up. But those are floor nurses.

The ED has always been more stable.

Thank you for your response. I ended up renting a room 5 miles of the hospital. I thought I should live close by and just drive when I want to go to Seattle or somewhere interesting. My start date has been pushed back to June due to delays with social security. Thank you!
