Where are you from?

Just want to get an idea of where everyone is located,

and where they went for their nursing education!

I'll start:

1. Vancouver, BC

2. BCIT (starting soon ... jan06)

hi

any problems with getting canada to recognise your education from other countries?

no. none whatsoever. i'm sure that if i ever ventured into the phd world (not too likely at this point in time) i'd probably have to upgrade some courses. employers have not had any issues, nor have the other schools.

Wow, more Newfies on the board!

I graduated from GHSN in 1995 (I grew up in St. John's). Moved to Texas that summer and have lived in TX, NM, NH, MD and now NJ. I finished my BSN here in the US and just finished my MSN in Nurse Anesthesia.

Hi everyone,

I'm from Winnipeg Manitoba. I have nursed in Edmonton, Alberta but Winnipeg is wear I hang my hat and wear my parka.

Wow! Nice to hear from so many Newfies. I can't imagine where one would travel in this world and not meet up with one. So Anjeeh when did you graduate from Humber College? Who knows, we may have crossed paths?

New to allnurses...thought this as good a place to start as any! Got my BScN in Nova Scotia, now practicing in Alberta. I've met more Maritimers out here than you could believe!

i graduated from humber college in toronto in 1995. then i got my bachelor's degree from brock u. not in nursing but recreation and leisure studies. but yeah, humber college, i enjoyed my time there. i lived in the residence next door. thursday night "pub night" at jj mugs down the street.

good times, yep! good times.

ok, i lived in residence for 1st and 2nd year, then moved into an apt in malton for 3rd year. spent some quality time at the pub on thurs, then it was pat & marios or studebakers on fri & sat. wouldn't doubt it if we knew eachother.
