When Studying, Should I Write Down Rationales?

Hello,

I am currently using

*NCSBN 3 week

*Saunders Online Test bank (It came with my Saunders book. )

*I write down only the rationales of the questions I have had trouble with.

My NCLEX-PN is scheduled July 14 (California).

Each question takes me about 2 minutes (especially when I write down rationales.) I have only been able to finish 200 questions max per day. I feel as is I will not be able to reach the amount of questions needed before my exam.

Should I just skip writing all this down and go for max questions?

Thank you!

In general, the more thoroughly you understand WHY an answer is right or wrong, the more likely you are to remember it in the future -- and to apply the same logic to future situations. Are you studying for a test? Or to retain useful information for the life of your career?

I read rationales. But I don't write them down, unless it's something I totally do not understand and need to go back to later to learn it.

Welcome! And good luck to you!!! Hard work will get you to your goals!
