What will they do?

I got hired as circulator but I don't start til January. Buy here's my question; I have no experience so will I have some kind of basic class, or will it be just a don't Touch the blue craps type of thing. Basically I want to know what they will want me to know seeing is how I have no experience.

They will assume you know nothing. DO YOUR BEST to learn as much as possible when on the job. Always show a good attitude. Expect to be abused by coworkers.

My facility uses the AORN periop 101 program for new circulators. We spend 4 weeks in a classroom setting before we even make it into the OR. I'm surprised they didn't tell you what to expect when they interviewed and hired you. And for what it's worth, we were not abused by our coworkers while orienting. Some may have had stronger personalities than others but they were all very supportive. Good luck.
