Guys, I fear it could be a semester or even a year before I am placed and eligible for CEP. What do we do while we wait?? I am so bored! I want to learn! I love being in school and learning. I'm SO ready for my nursing career too! This fall I'm taking a photography course because I want to nurture the hobby. I was looking for the Spanish for Healthcare Workers course, but it seems to have been removed. I just wish there was a way to get a jump start on learning! I saw a number of books about nursing and study books on amazon. Maybe buy those and get a little ahead with nursing topics?? Maybe learn to pass meds at my current job? I need something! I'm getting antsy! What do you guys suggest??

What is your goal, the traditional program or cep? If it's the CEP, Do you have all pre-requs for the CEP programs? If it's traditional but you plan on going on to get your Bachelor I would look into classes you can take now that will count towards that.
I am going for CEP. I already have a BS in Biology so I have all the CEP pre-reqs covered.
Do you know which university you are going to go with for the programe?
NAU is my pick

You can apply to to a university and see if you get in that way. You can also get a CNA license.
Thank you @Egaddy. I have my CNA already and I use it by working in an assisted living. I have spent a few hours researching universities today and I have passed the application deadline for a spring start. Looks like Fall 2016 is the earliest I can start. I just wish there was more I could do in the meantime!
If you're willing to move you can still apply to NAU. They have one in Tucson, Yuma and Flagstaff.
thanks! I'll look into it.
