What would you do?

Hello

I'm a recent LPN graduate with no experience. I have been looking for work since I got my license in March 2014 in Miami Florida. Every job requires at least one (1) year of experience. I went straight into the LPN program and I got my license without having the CNA license. I really need to find a job while I'm doing my RN program. everywhere I called for LPN job they are Hiring CNA or RN. It will take me two(2) more years to get RN License after passing the NCLEX Exam. do you think it would be ok if i go get a CNA license to get a job as a PCA?

I Know in most states you will not be able to work as a CNA if you have an LPN license

I would keep pounding the pavement and continue to look for an LPN position if I were you.

Apply in person to every nursing home, home health company, private duty agency, clinic, jail, prison, group home, assisted living facility and adult daycare center within a 50 mile radius of your home, or however far you are willing to drive.

Apply in person while dressed nicely; it might turn into an on-the-spot interview. Good luck to you!

Some places, LTC, AL, actually like new grads with "no bad habits" . They accept their training as "this is how it is supposed to be done." No remarks or comments about how it was done somewhere else.
