What did you study from Hurst?

Published

Hello everyone, I take the NCLEX in just about 4 or 5 weeks and I plan on buying Hurst either today or tomorrow...I started uWorld and have gotten through about 400 questions averaging about a 60% in the 75th percentile. I felt that my content was lacking a little bit and heard that Hurst was an amazing tool to utilize in order to learn the content! I plan on spending 3-4 weeks on the Hurst and utilize the remainder of my days practicing questions on uWorld, does this sound like a good game plan? Now for the real question, for those of you who have taken the NCLEX and DID utilize uWorld/Hurst, what did you focus on with Hurst? There's no way I can relearn ~2 years of information from nursing school all the way down to the tee, I remember a lot of the basics but I am worried that the NCLEX will give me a Select all that Apply on Signs and Symptoms of an obscure disease and i'll miss it :/. I know a lot of people recommend spending the majority of your time on uWorld and just use Hurst as a quick content review but it's a lot of information, what do I need to focus on?

thanks in advance,

- Kris

P.S. I am so thankful I found this site, everyone here is so considerate and helpful. Thank you all for being so encouraging!

I too was like you and could not figure out what to focus on with Hurst so I focused on acid base and fluids and electrolytes. By understanding those sections of hurst I was able to understand everything else. I'm happy I focused on those areas because I passed my nclex with 75 questions in under a hour. Good luck to you :)
