What to do before my NCLEX test?? Getting started as nurse in PA

Can anyone direct me where I can get the act 31 child abuse continuum course? This is for Pennsylvania. Also, do I have to get a background check or fingerprints done? Where can I find this paperwork...I'm so lost.

I just got my PA license by endorsement.

For the child abuse course I took it online at: https://www.reportabusepa.pitt.edu

and they sent it automatically to PA BON.

As for background check and fingerprints I did not have to get that done. The hospital I was hired to is completing it though.

Have you read through https://www.mylicense.state.pa.us/ for all the information and paperwork needed? I believe you will be applying for "initial license".

AN thread: Act 31 Child Abuse CEU: 3hr class required for initial PA LPN or RN license

BON link:Mandated Child Abuse Reporter Training Under Act 31

PA does not require fingerprinting. Background check is done by employer. BON requires CRIMINAL HISTORY / DISCIPLINARY ACTION HX only for applicants who answer YES” for any criminal/disciplinary history question must submit required documents listed in link.

Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance Form only needed if working with children.
