O.K. guys I am my schools president of Ky Assoc. Nursing Students. In this role I am in charge of having student meetings at my school in which we usually have a speaker come to talk to the students and we have some food because this is always done during the lunch hour.
We sometimes have problems with people attending these meetings. Even though we give away free food!
Anyway, I am not sure what to have for speakers this semester. I would like to know what ideas any of you have. What kind of information would you want to have that you might not get in class.
Any suggestions will be helpful and I thank you in advance for your opinions!
Thanks-
stAx

Just a thought but have you tried getting some nurses in from different specialities and talking about their area and what it is like once qualified, issues that may come up and how to handle them?

I had the same suggestion as Silverdragon...as a student I would find it very useful to have someone come & talk about the different areas of nursing.
Have you thought about doing a quick survey of your classmates to ask what they might be interested in?
