OK...so my resumes are out there and I'm starting to get calls...I've got an interview scheduled for next Thursday and I'm returning a phone call tomorrow and I'm sure I will be scheduling an interview for early next week. I have my questions prepared for them but I have no idea about what to expect. Nursing is my 2nd career and I've only been on one professional interview after I graudated college the first time. I was offered the job and kept it until quit to return to school for nursing. Have any of you had to take any tests or anything? I was asked to fill out a skills form for a L&D position I applied for....which after filling that out I'm sure I won't get that job....sigh...I really don't want to work med/surg but I'm thinking that's the route I'll be taking. Any input? Thanks!

I'll show up to the interview and the nurse manager will ask one question along the lines of, "So, why do you want to work for this facility?"
They have usually hired me on the spot, even without experience. I haven't had to do much impression management at these quick interviews.

i only applied at one hospital, because i knew where i wanted to work, but the people interviewing me (3), seemed very genuine and interested in me and what i had to say.
