I failed my NCLEX, I feel so stupid!!! In nursing school, I was always the one that worked the hardest because I knew I had test anixety. Now I'm the only one who didn't pass and having to work in the business offices at the hospital until I can pass! I'm still waiting on my request to retake the test to show up on the NC borad of nursing but its yet to get there, I guess. Does anyone got any tips or some up lifting words?

NCLEX is a demon that is unpredictable and even the best do not pass the first time. You do know the material, it does not assure the world that a nurse is qualified, so, this is NOT a reflection of YOU. Do not let this get you down. It is easier said than done, but, you CAN do this!! Many of us walk in there terrified, confused and get jumbled while taking it. Learn some relaxation exercises and continue to surround yourself with positive people and words. I wish you well for the next exam.
Thanks, I'm trying to stay positive!! I always say, "everything happens for a reason!" I still don't have a date to retake, but I'm sure I'll be up here talking about it soon enough!!:typing

Ms.Rosewood2003,
I'm so sorry. As pagandeva2000 was saying, many do not make it on the first (or second or even third...) try so you certainly aren't alone. On the upside, you have experienced the test now so maybe that can help you to better prepare and calm your anxiety for next time. Stay positive and I wish you the best of luck for next time! You will be a great nurse!

Stay positive and focus. Pray and give it to God.
I was there a few months ago. Like you i had to work hard in nursing school. I was one of the top students in the class. i even help my girlfriend throughout nursing school. When we took the test the first time she passed with 75 questions in under 40mins and i failed after getting all 265 Q and being there for 4 hours. That was a tough time but i stayed focused. Everyone turned there backs on me My Sisiter some of my friends would look at me like I was stupid. i was in money trouble my car broke down and when rescheduled my test for the 2nd time I was turned away becasue my Id expired 2 days ago and i had not noticed.
Rescheduled after begging my sister to pay the 200 dollars being called every name in the book. rent went unpaid was ona verge of a nervous break down. But i prayed and talked with GOD. When i took the test i thought I was prepared and answering the questions right but the machine kept going after 75 q. I went into panic mood tried to relax.. the questions kept coming anf getting harder and harder, I about 15 select all that apply, and long winded questions that took me alomst 45 secs to read. My time ran out at 220 Q's. i cried all the way home, and cried and prayed for the next 2 days thoguht about eneding everything including my life. Checked on the 4th of july and found out i passed. I know for a fact the Hand of God intervened it's noway I passed that exam if it wsn't for Him.. I will always praise Him.. Keep your head up.. You can do it Please we are all in this together. The enemy is the C.A.T.. the evil one:angryfire

i understand the stress and dissapointment you are feeling right now, but please don't take this on as a failure on your part. i have known many fantastic nurses who failed their nclex exam and went on to be teachers and leaders within their units. try to relax and stay focused on each question keeping in mind which answer is "safest for the patient" good luck and stay strong.
Thanks you guys, ya'll are too sweet!! Right now the hospital has me working at a desk, and all my boss wanted me to do is study! So believe me, am doing so hard core studing!. I want to be a nurse so bad that it hurts!! Thanks again guys!:kiss
