What helps the most in school?

I'm just interested...I'm really considering trying to enter into a school not too far away (for an online education), but I have a lot of questions and some concerns and all that!

What made you decide on the school you all chose? (I'm not set in stone, so...) If you got an online degree, did you like it? Or what didn't you like about it?

I do need the flex of being online, and the school I'm looking at does say it offers webinars and even SecondLife collaboration? I like the idea of it, have you all had experience with this kind of set up? What has helped you get through school the most?

That's what I've thought of so far! Thanks for any advice everyone! :)

There are a lot of GREAT nursing schools in my area and trust me, I researched. The reason I picked the school that I did is because they offer a nights/weekend program. All our classes are in the evening and our clinicals are on the weekends. It is a longer program. 7 semesters instead of the typical 5 but it's what I have to do. I work full time in the operating room so this program best fits my needs.

I decided on my school because they had a new BSN program & great scholarships. Honestly, I don't feel nervous about being the "inaugural" class because their school of nursing has offered a RN-BSN program & master's programs for decades (all have excellent reputations). It is a traditional program, which is fine with me because I am a traditional student.

This. I'm attending the same school as Zoe, and I immediately jumped on the chance to transfer to the school when I heard about them beginning an entry-level program. Yes, we'll be the "inaugural" class, but I think in terms of history, it will be wonderful for us. It was also imperative that the school provided financial aid as well as the fact they are a small private college. The student/prof ratio is pretty low which makes for great relationships with your professors which I think is a huge factor in an education. I'm not just another number on a class roster, the professors actually take the time to get to know their students which I'm sure will do wonders for future recommendations. Also, being that I will be among the inaugural class, we have around 40 students entering into the program in the fall, which to me is great- we'll be able to get acquainted with one another.
