We were informed in our senior leadership class on Friday that we are not getting a BSN we are getting a BS with a concentration in nursing. What is the difference? My school said that a BS is valued more than a BSN. I can't say that agree with that.
Any idea?
Thanks,
Jill

I've never heard of a BS w/ a "concentration" in nursing. Will you be eligible to sit for the NCLEX when you graduate?
Yes, I will be eligible to sit for the NCLEX. I just thought it was weird that they brought this up now. It was brought up when we were discussing writing up our resumes They told us that when we list our degree it is not a BSN.

Do they have an official Nursing program, Im mean do you do clincals and everything? I think you will be OK I mean as long as they meet the requirements for you to take NCLEX for licensure.
How did they say to list it as Just a BS or did they recommend the concentration on Nursing phrase? I would probably leave that out if they didn't specifically ay to use it

Is it NLNAC-accredited? Make darn sure it is, or you will regret it.
http://www.nlnac.org is the official website of this accreditation-granting organization.
