What are my chances of getting in?

Hello, I recently began applying and have sent out a couple of apps (4). My stats are as follows:

-Science GPA: 3.9

-Nursing BSN GPA: 3.87, Summa Cum Laude

-Level I Trauma MICU, Large teaching insitution, 1.5 years, hitting 2 in July. Charge trained, have precepted.

-CCRN, studying for CMC

During Nursing school, I held various leadership positions.

Your stats look great. I don't doubt you'll get interviews at the very least. You probably have a good shot but it'll come down to how competitive the programs are that you applied to and how well you interview.

Your stats get you an interview, your interview gets you accepted. Start practicing answering interview questions now and be prepared to defend any weak spots in your stats. For you this may be that experience is on the lower side. I was accepted before I hit 2 yrs and I think it was because I acknowledged the issue and gave examples of how I had really tried to maximize my learning in the ICU (volunteer for sick patients, take extra training, constantly evaluate the "why" behind interventions, etc).

Sure they will, but that won't make much of a difference. They care about your experience NOW vs future experience. They'll acknowledge that but it won't matter. PresG33 is probably right in that you'll need to emphasize that the little experience you have has taken you a long way and you've taken more than full advantage of it.

Well said brotha. I was not as competitive as many of the other nurses stats which I have read on allnurses (GPA 3.2, BSN=3.4, 1.5 yrs exp) but what I did excel in was participating in leadership roles on the unit. I was chair of the Unit Practice Council, participated in the code blue/rapid assessment & patient safety committees. It is all about how well rounded of a nurse you are and the drive which you have.

MICU responds to Code Blues/Rapid Responses at nights, so I stuck that on the resume because in reality, I have responded to many of them in my 2 years here. Also, I recently took on the role of the representative for our unit council. All in all, I am doing everything in power to secure a spot. 2 interviews coming up, any hints/tips will be appreciated.
