1 Week Until NCLEX!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi, everyone! Can you share your study plans for your last week of NCLEX prep? I haven't focused much on content (I participated in a live ATI review), and instead have been doing Kaplan Qbank questions for the last 2 weeks. Should I shift gears and do some content review? Keep focusing on questions?

What did you do in your last couple of days? I'm working some of the days, so I only have about 5 full days of studying left.

Also, did anyone else feel like they were doing so many practice questions that they might second guess their answers on the test itself? That's my big worry right now.

I just took the NCLEX yesterday and it shut down in 75. While I don't know if I passed yet or not, I would just say to keep doing questions. The last week, I did QBank questions and worked with my NCLEX Mastery App (finished all of the QBank about 3 days before). At this point, it is going to be hard to learn anything new. If you really do want to review content, just look at meds or lab values! And the day before / of, make sure to NOT study. Trust me, you will thank yourself for it.

Thanks!! I'm really hoping mine shuts down at 75, as well. I'm definitely confident enough in myself to know that I would pass and not fail if I'm cut off at 75. It sounds to me like you passed as well! I'm going to continue with the Qbank, take a peek at LaCharity, and breeze through that study guide. Probably won't look too in depth at content again.

I only did the Hurst Review after I graduated. I did 1 Q review (6 of them) a day, then I went through and studied the rationales and looked up things that I didn't know. I passed with 75 questions in a little less than an hour.

Thanks, everyone! I'm now 3 days away and am growing more and more terrified. Just finished the Kaplan Qbank with a 63% average, and I'm about to go back through my incorrect questions. I've finished 6 chapters of LaCharity and am scoring in the high 70s. Any last minute content I should cover? Labs, etc? I know at this point there isn't too much I can do, but my anxiety has risen significantly in the last 24 hours, and I'm starting to doubt myself quite a bit.
