8 week classes

So I just found out about 8 week online classes and now I think I'll be able to knock out a bunch of prereqs in a short amount of time.

Anyone else take an 8 week class? I'm thinking, nutrition, stats, life development... maybe history classes. I'm going to take A&P the full 16 week classes online though.

I took A&PI and II as a 16 week course (8 weeks per class). I preferred it to a longer course where you're getting lectured weeks before you actually test.

I took AP I in an 8 week course summer format. It was a lot of work, but worth it. Ended with an A, but had to study my butt off. Depends on the professors you schedule too and how they run the class. I would agree that I wouldn't do more than 2 classes in this format, or you may end up overwhelmed with the amount of work.

I took Cultural Anthropology this semester as an online 8 week course (Aug-Oct) and I loved it. I'll be taking Speech as an online 8 week class for the Spring semester (have to go to the school 4 times to give speeches). I think it all depends on what kind of student you are, and if you're up for the extra work. I enjoy a fast paced environment so it works for me. With my 8 week classes, I also take a full semester (16 week) online class as well (Lifespan Dev. this semester, and Ethics for Spring). I work full time and have no children.

Could I ask where online you're taking them? Is this through EDukan?

Thanks!

I take classes online through Kansas City Kansas Community College.

I took accelerated, 8 week classes for 1 semester. I really feel like I just rushed through the classes and didn't retain much - I took biology, A&P I and sociology. I made all A's, but now I feel like I forgot a lot of the material. If you are a full time student that would be 12 hours which is the same as a traditional semester anyway. This semester I opted to take classes at a regular pace and feel like I am getting more out of it. I feel like knocking out classes quickly is a waste, especially for classes that are important for nursing school like the sciences. However, I think it is great for general ed classes.

All to say, I feel like I missed out by taking 2 science classes in an accelerated format.

Hey where did you take the bio and A&P one online together in 8 weeks?
