Stars glad you have been making progress on your move

Dianah glad the cardio appointment went well

Tweety glad you're feeling better

Work was pretty good again yesterday, despite getting a new case. Thankfully not a lot of work to do overall. After work stopped at the grocery store, exercised, did a bit more packing, and got the car cover on in anticipation of bad weather today

Today have what will hopefully be a short meeting at work, thankfully not a lot scheduled for today. Don't really have anything scheduled for after work except exercise

Will be cooler, upper 60s today, storms this morning and then severe storms tonight

I hope the storms aren't too bad, Joe.

dianah, it's good that the appointment went well with no surprises.

Stars, you accomplished a lot. And I admire you for emptying and recycling those cans.

Tweety, I'm totally not offended. Your shifts have been fairly brutal and that's reason enough not to be all sunshine and rainbows.

I've got some drudgery to face at work, but at least it keeps me busy doing something useful.

Very little else going on, and that is A-OK. 89 degrees, humid, and windy. I guess some part of Florida got some rain because one of our volunteers was talking about her daughter's family being there for her grandson to play in some baseball tournament and they're getting rained on.

Good evening.

Hope you had a good day.

It rains a lot in Florida. Our rainy season is going on to our west but we're still dry which is unfortunate.

Had a busy day at work. Bleh.

Secretary called off for tomorrow. I tried to find a replacement, but we'll see. We're a nurse short so it's going to be difficult to have patients and have to answer the phone and do secretarial stuff. But I'm a Charge Nurse, I can do it all. 🙄

Now my left hand and wrist, the lateral side, is hurting sumpthin fierce, feeling a bit swollen and hot to the touch. So I am sitting on the sofa with my hand elevated, resting it on a cold pack of dried beans in a flannel cloth. Pretty soon I will have to switch to a colder cold pack, because beans don't work for beans after a little while. I stupidly lifted a box when I was out in the shed; well, several boxes, actually, and shame on me! The previously sore index finger is not so sore, thank goodness. But I am not so happy with myself about the region of the little finger and below it. Live and learn, huh? RATZ!

I am watching Towering Inferno, a multi-multi-multi-Star extravaganza of a disaster film! It started with an electrical fire, which to me appeared they were fighting with a FIRE-HOSE and WATER??? One guy was caught in a flare-up and his jacket was burning, but did he stop, drop, and roll? Why, NO, of course not! They were evacuating from the top floor in elevators? REALLY?? Soon enough there were multiple fires and flares and gas explosions, windows blowing out. One woman opened the door to her room and then because the smoke was so bad, she took a chair, which she used to break the window, yuh, right, and the glass window broke with just one hit of the chair.....suddenly she was on fire and hurtling out and down 81 floors. "Dr. Kildare" just ran down a blocked stairway even though they all were told NOT to use it, and a busted gas line blew the fire up, and he was almost a goner! Now he is having a drink from the bar and arguing with his married lover who was also married. So, it's a Soap Opera as well as a disaster movie. Good Lord, there must've been multiple writers who all must've been high as kites! (Made in 1974). It's a 3 hour movie and there is still one hour to go. What ELSE can go wrong in an hour! Oh no! a chopper rescue on the roof? Good-bye helicopter!

I have been typing with just my right hand, and it isn't easy. I'm going to stop now and watch who else in the cast DIES.... 😜

Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, and Faye Dunaway lived, and OJ Simpson rescued Fred Astaire's (dead') wife's cat.

The movie cost nearly $13,000,000 to make.

The End.

I remember that disaster movies were all the thing in the 70s. I don't think I ever saw Towering Inferno, but we did go see one about a big earthquake, and it featured sense-surround. That meant there were huge base speakers in the back of the theater that vibrated during the quake, LOL.

We volunteered at the demo garden, then grabbed a quick pre-made wrap sandwich at the grocery store. I came home, took a quick shower, and then off to see a new GI doc, because I am due for a colonoscopy. Oh joy. He is giving me the prep with less volume and agreed to use fentanyl/versed because I've had bad experiences with propofol. I'm not doing it until July, due to our upcoming camping trip. My oldest sister stopped by to show me her healing broken finger. The surgeon is offering to do surgery to take out the small crook in it, but she thinks she will just live with it. It seems like as long as the blood supply, movement and sensation is intact, surgery would just be for looks. And it doesn't look bad to me.

I made up a shopping list for the camping trip. I'm going to try to go without dh tomorrow. He just slows me down and wears me out because he has to go up and down every aisle. Imma just a get it and get out sorta gal.

A good part of our state is experiencing a drought. I suppose our skies will be smokey for a good part of the Summer. bah.
