and it was the best mistake I've made in a long time!
I called the office and the on call nurse answered. She was talking so fast I could hardly understand her. On top of that she was speaking very quietly so she wouldn't wake her 15 month old baby.....
WHOSE DADDY WAS COMING HOME FROM IRAQ TODAY!!!!!!!!
First time he's been home since January, and I'm almost positive that in between excited breaths and almost unintelligible words that she told me it was a short visit in Jan. and he had only been home once 4 months before that.....which I guess means he hasn't had much of a chance to get to know his daughter except for the...ummm.....really, really important part!!!!!! :wink2: I do know for sure that she said he would be home forever this time.
She made my day! She told me if I couldn't hear her to let her know, that she was talking quietly so she wouldn't wake her baby, but the more she talked the louder she got and next thing I hear is the little one!!
There's one happy family somewhere in Ohio tonight. One happy and blessed family that their son is coming home safely. Prayers for the ones still there......
Best experience I've ever had being late for work!!!!!!!!! :balloons:

Oh, that made my day.... knowing there is a very happy family celebrating life in Ohio.
Our TV station honors "fallen" soldiers. It is hard to watch, and I often wish I didn't know, connecting a face with a sacrificed life for our country.
Thank you for sharing a happier image with us
