yup ward manager talked to all the late shift yesterday seems the trust is losing a medical ward. some wards are moving as they are building a new building to replace the last nigthengale wards. so we may close to protect acute beds but it all on the grapevine as yet

My trust did this a while ago, all the nurses were redeployed and still have jobs, but it's the uncertainty that is a worry
To be honest i wouldnt mind moving i feel i need more acute skills, it just apparnelty it can happen in 2 weeks once a decison is made. I like most of a colldague know the flow and ebb of a shift etc but feel frustatred about medical coverage and working witha consultant who has no idea of mdt. Funny a bank support worker knew before us.

Sorry to hear this Ayla, I always find that it is the people strongly affected are the last to know and it appears to be the case here
