Wake Tech Spring 2017 Start

Anyone submitting an application to the nursing program at WTCC this upcoming July for spring 2017? Wanted to connect with others who may be in my shoes. I'm still working on some prerequisites (TEAS and CNA) but hope to finish them up by May. I will be transferring most of my prerequisites in from another school.

Hi ladies! Does Wake Tech still have pinning ceremonies?? Someone said they stopped but they had 1 last year...I'm just curious...thanks

Laila34 wow! That is very impressive! 2 exams in a day is tough, let alone finals and a lab! Congratulations!

Thank you!! :)

Lalia34, those grades during the summer time is something to be proud of my friend. What's everyone doing until then? I've started blogging this journey of mine.

Also what section would everyone prefer to be in. I know at the end of the ANY section would be a blessing but I think I'd like the early one.

Jpeters247, I agree with that statement! Any section would be great, but I would love to be in the earlier group because that one would work better with my work schedule. I could maximize the number of hours I could work during the week (without over doing it) if I did everything in the morning. If I am placed into an evening group I could make it work, but my schedule wouldn't be ideal.

Thank you Jpeters!! I agree with both of you! Any section would be love BUT I would prefer the morning. I have 3 children (12, 11, and 1 years old) and their schedules are quite busy. However, if I was placed in the night crew, then I would adapt and make it work!

hmmm. I really haven't thought of that. Hearing your preferences, I guess morning schedule is the ideal one! But then again, any schedule will work for me as long as I'm in the nursing program this spring.

I did it!!! I passed Naces!!! I was a nervous wreck. This was the longest day. So glad it's over. Can't wait to read the stories of when you all get your letters of acceptance into the program!! I'm one step closer.

Congrates Gotgifts3! Isn't it a great feeling to know that you're one step closer. I thank God everyday for being in the position to finally apply as you will be too. What classes are you registered for this Fall?

Thank you Jpeters247 I'm taking bio 169 and I will be ready to apply in January. I think I should retake the teas. How about you? Have you already applied? It's so exciting!!!!

Hi ladies! Every time I get an allnurses update in my email, I get excited..LOL!!! Anywho, I just logged into webadvisor and see that my new BIO A&P grade has been entered..yaaayyyy!! How's everybody's waiting coming along?! I'm going to be honest, it's driving me nuts..LOL! All I've been doing is calculating points, recalculating, reading posts, re-reading, and staring at my calendar. To help me get a "better" idea on when letters will be sent, I added 30 days after September 23 (which is the day they received it last year when the application deadline was July 1). If so, we should get letters by October 24. Hang tight girls, it won't be long now! Less than 74 days and counting! Have a good day ladies!! :cat:

Laila34, we are in the same boat! I am so eager to hear next month! All of my coworkers and friends keep asking me if I've heard anything yet (seeing as though I turned my application in way back in May). I'm hoping we get letters sooner than October. It seems as though last cycle they were sent 9/18. Health science advising said that letters should be mailed before the end of September.
