Wake Tech Spring 2017 Start

Anyone submitting an application to the nursing program at WTCC this upcoming July for spring 2017? Wanted to connect with others who may be in my shoes. I'm still working on some prerequisites (TEAS and CNA) but hope to finish them up by May. I will be transferring most of my prerequisites in from another school.

Laila34 are you taking your class at wake tech? I finished PPE and hand washing last night. Yayyyy!!!

Hi!! Yaaaayy! No, I'm not taking it at Wake tech. I'm taking it at a school in Durham.

Darn, I was hoping we might be in the same class. I'm enjoying it. Are u? Lab is way better than lecture. The night goes so much faster

Officially turned in my application today!! I sat down with an advisor this morning just to have them calculate my points (I sleep easier knowing that we're calculating points for the same courses lol) and make sure I had everything I needed. Still waiting for my name to show up on the NA registry. One of my classmates told me that it took 5 business days for her name to show up, so that's what I'm hoping for. Hoping it shows up by the end of the week! Commence the four month wait!!

Congrats!!!!! That is so exciting!!! Did your points match up with what the advisor calculated? Are u finished with all your classes? They only have one night class for AP2. If I don't get in that class I'm going to be so disappointed. Cna is great!! I love lab. You were right the instructors are great!!

So glad to hear that gotgifts3!! They are great!! Thankfully my points matched up with what I was told by the advisor. I did finish all of my classes. At this point the only other way for me to acquire more points is to retake the TEAS, and I decided that wasn't on my priority list lol. Especially since I feel like it's nearly impossible to get all 20 points. But that's just me! Fingers crossed you get into the night class!

Anyone else taking the TEAS tomorrow? I'm hoping it won't be too bad. Does anyone know if it's possible to finish early, or do you have to stay until everyone is finished?

Hi kala082008 good luck tomorrow! You can leave whenever you finish, but everyone starts the test at the same time.

Thanks, CN_2bRN919! I'm heading out of town right afterwards so that's good to know. Can't wait to get it out of the way!

kala082008, how did you do this morning on the TEAS? Hoping you did well!

HEY LADIES! Okay, I'm back. After my TEAS test I had to mentally, physically and emotionally check out of ALL things NURSE related. I totally bombed the teas with a 68%. So over this thing....... I did plan on taking it again to begin with because I only studied for 3 sections other than math. I thought focusing on three sections would allow me to get a good grade in those areas and only take the math. However, my application is already in and that's the biggest part. The TEAS proctor told us that 14 people got in without TEAS scores, but without a TEAS score for me I will be at 147 which is super low in my opinion. I just don't know how that with all B's one C and an A. At least with 6 points I can get 153 or with 12 points 159. Who knows, at this point I just have to put my faith in GOD that I will be in clinical SP 17 and that is of course with all of you guys. I'm mentally taking 2 weeks off and then I will start studying again.
