They havent decided in general for fall 2020 admission was what I was told.

This batch is really behind then. I hope it doesn’t affect the timeline and the semester won’t be too rushed as they could cram info into a small period of time

I don’t know why it takes so long and what decisions need to be made. Seemed the criteria for getting into Wake Tech is pretty straightforward. Wonder if getting the clinical spots is the hardest thing to figure out but the schedule for NUR 111 is already posted in the online catalog. Just can’t understand why other nursing schools are going forward with application decisions and they are not. Very frustrating!

I'm not sure if this is of any help, but from what I understand students are accepted based on how many clinical spots there are available (and a number of other things). From a clinical standpoint, the most recently accepted class was not able to complete their clinical component due to COVID19. So I believe administrators are currently trying to organize how to first make sure that the previous incoming class is able to meet their clinical requirement before making plans for the next incoming class (Fall 2020). There are probably a lot of moving pieces in figuring this out *** far as the hospital's policies moving forward, as well as Wake Tech's over all decision on when and how school -especially in class classes- will proceed.

The current class that started in January of 2020 are being given the option to withdraw without penalty and start over in the fall. If that is true, I'm not sure what that does to the available spots in the fall.

I applied without having all my classes done at 139 and hoped it would be enough. If not, I'll reapply in July but all my classes will be done and I will be in the 160s.

I did email and ask because it's hard to know how to move forward with fall registration already open. The reply back said they plan on sending letters out at the end of April. Good luck everyone. :)

WOW! I wonder how they are going to fit all people from January and fall in one class ?if that’s the case

may I ask when did they tell you about the letters being sent out at the end of April ?

Yes I heard about them allowing people to drop from their classes. But alot of my friends already in the program said from their understanding no one has & they are doing it online. ...... when I emailed the advisor & asked if they had sent out the acceptance letters she stated she hopes the nursing department makes a decision soon.

Well that means, next week we will hear back about the result already. I’m hearing two opposing sides of their story, like they haven’t come up with the decision yet, and they’re sending out the result next week. If that’s the case, they only have a week to decide the ranking and all. That doesn’t sound so feasible to me and there might be a possibility that one week is too much of a time constraint for them.

Yeah two stories and completely opposite, but I think they had already completed the rankings, because normally they send out letters for fall in March, so hopefully if the “sending them at the end of April” story is true , we only have a week or so to wait
