Wake Tech Fall 2020

I would really hope not! I mean technically we don’t start until the fall but even if the virus is still pretty active then I feel like they should definitely provide alternatives because I am not waiting any longer! LOL

lets hope the acceptance letters get sent out in late March because I’m not sure if I can handle waiting until April ?

I was thinking of making a call to the school on the 23rd of this month to check on the status of the acceptance letters. I'll keep y'all posted on what they say.

With Wake changing some classes to online temporarily and limiting school services, I sent an email off to the office and asked if it will affect the admission process and if we can still expect an acceptance / denial letter late March / mid April. I'll post their response when they send one.

Here is their response ....

"Hello Marty,

We don't know yet. We are doing our best to complete the ranking process, but if we have to work from home, it may make it difficult to complete the process and mail out the letters. At this time, I am telling students that decisions may be mailed out the end of April."

Guess we'll see what happens.

Oh goodness as if the wait wasn’t bad enough ?. I understand why it’s happening, but it doesn’t make it any easier!

Well I hate to admit it y'all ... but it looks like it might be a bit before we here anything on our status. I was told pretty much the same thing from Wilson CC's nursing program director and Pitt CC doesn't rank people anyway til after the Spring semester. Stay safe y'all.

Quick update from the email I sent to their newly establish "Answer Center"....

"What is your question?
With the school officially closing temporarily and most employees working from home, will nursing admission letters be sent out in May or June I assume?"

"Hi --------------------,
Can you answer this student?"

"Hi --------------------, I am not certain about when, but still expecting the Nursing Department to mail or email admissions status letters sometime in April. We appreciate your patience.

I applied with 162 points. I keep checking the mailbox but am thinking as schools are still closed and Wake Tech has moved to all online, that that may affect our acceptance letters. I hope not but I’m not sure how many people are working in the office during this time.

How's everyone doing so far? As future nurses, I hope you "guys" are following along with what is currently going on with the nursing profession. With this being the Year of Nurse, I have definitely seen so many nurses step up and do what needs to be done. Sad to say though, that some nurses out there don't have the support that they should be getting. At first, I was a little discouraged by what I saw, read, and heard ... enough to second guess myself going into a nursing program ... I also see it as an opportunity to fix issues and hopefully, one day, I can be a leader in the nursing profession and help prevent things like this happening again. Stay safe y'all.
