Waive course?

Hello everyone! This is my first post. I recently graduated with a Biology major and Psychology minor. I've finished up A&P 1 and am about to start taking Micro. I am looking to apply for BSN or Accelerated BSN programs in GA. I have taken multiple psychology courses and Biology courses. I was wondering if anyone knew of any college that will waive the Sociology course? I took Medical Sociology at my college and I'm really hoping I don't have to shell out more cash to take this course just as a prereq. In addition to Medical Sociology I've taken Developmental Psych, Abnormal Psych, General Psych, Marriage and Family (a Psych/Sociology special topics course), and Psychology of Music.

If anyone has any direction for me I'd super appreciate it :)

I'm not sure if this is the same everywhere, but when I worked toward a duel degree I had lower level chems for nursing but higher level chems for biology degree. I had to get syllabi from both sets of chem courses and take them into the college. They decided whether or not I could waive the lower level courses based on the content of the higher level courses. The lower level courses were for non-science majors, and I was able to waive them contingent on completing the other chem courses. Good luck!!

Most colleges will allow you to test out of a class. You could attempt that if your campus and program allows it. Or just see if they will accept and transfer of credits for those classes?

The answer is to check with your current college to see what credits will transfer. Nobody can know whether or not they will transfer. It depends on the previous school and current. The only classes you can ever test out of are lower level classes that you took in high school and those meet the basic college requirements. You can't test out of core classes needed for your degree. So check and see if they transfer. Otherwise you will have to take them again.
