How many people are usually accepted off of the waitlist? Or how likely is it??

I am listed as an alternate as well. I contacted MCC today and they said that 40 students start at each starting point. The "alternates" that attend the mandatory orientation will then be starting as needed at those points. I would like to know how many alternates they have taken since August 2010 as that will give an approximate idea on if I will be admitted to the program.
Yeah I just wondered if getting in off the waitlist happens very often.
As soon as I received my letter I went on facebook asking if any of my contacts know of anyone in the program right now. One of my friends said her friend was #4 on the alternate list & is in now. I am waiting for that friend to call me and let me know if she has an idea on how many have gotten in so far. As soon as I hear something, I will post it here.
Awesome! I know I'm in the top five. So I am hoping that would be a good thing?!?

Hey trvlgrl, what mcc are u referring to? I am waitlisted at middlesex cc. Ive been waitlisted 3x and they dont tell you where u are on the list.
Mine didn't tell me in my letter so i called the admissions dept to find out. You might want to try and do that... it doesn't seem fair to not let you know where you stand.
Yeah I know right? But I did call this am and she said she couldn't tell me that. So I will just have to wait and see what happens. Stillbwaiting to hear back from another school, but this one was my first choice. Good luck to everyone waitlisted.
