Waiting to start school...

I applied to phoenix college this summer and I'm hoping really, really hard that I get in for spring '16. All of the pre-req's are done, all the paperwork has been double-checked, and I passed the HESI A2 with high scores. But I'm running myself down just waiting and waiting. I've been applying for patient care tech jobs but no luck yet. I feel like I'm going to explode waiting to get in. Okay, thanks for listening.

How long did you wait to get in and how did you spend the time???

Hi Rust! I will be starting my nursing program in September. How the application period works in my school is they start accepting apps in November and it closes in Jan i think. They mail out acceptance/denial letters in April. So i put in my application in December once i finished all my classes and had to wait until APRILLLLLLLLL for my decision. I called them once to make sure they got all my required documentation. I am attending at Community college and they do not do interviews. In the meantime since i had no more pre reqs to take i worked and "saved" for school haha...... rightttt. Anyway I was going insaneeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Definitely keep your mind busy especially since its summer time, go to the beach, amusements parks, or just hang with friends and family. Think positive thoughts and remain calm and before you know you'll be getting that call or piece of mail. Much luck and success to you!! I hope you get accepted. :) Sorry to rant haha!! Ttyl

I applied to my program in May and found out a few weeks ago that I got in! It was agony to wait! However, I work as a medical scribe in the ER and that work definitely helped to serve as a distraction. I also tried to get in lots of social time with friends because I know I won't be able to hang out as much as I'd like when school starts this August. Best of luck!
