I recently took the NCLEX and stopped at 75 q's. I have never been a good test taker throughout nursing school so I'm thinking it is very unlikely that I could pass with only 75 q's. Can anyone tell me how long it took to receive the Candidate Performance Report in CA? I think I read it could take up to ten business days. I really don't want to receive the report (and secretly hope that I passed) but I will be submitting my results to qualify for the 'money back guarantee' offer for the review course I took.
I will be starting step 1 of Suzanne's program in anticipation of having to re-test again. I am in denial about my experience of taking the test. I want to scream, cry or do anything but so far, I am emotionless. I have blocked it all out, but know I will need to re-test.

Please take the time to read Suzanne's stickies. She requests that you take a week off once you receive your results and before you start doing her first tip. Do not assume you have failed until you get your results. I also wouldn't worry about your sheet if you have failed as you should start studying again (only if you have failed) as if you haven't taken the test before.

Hoping that your results show that you passed. Good luck.
Thank you silverdragon102 and caliotter3 for your encouraging words. It makes me feel as if I'm not alone in this waiting process. I will wait for my results before I doing any (re)studying.

Why do you think that you could not pass the exam with 75 questions? If you trained in the US, then you have an 85% chance of passing the exam the first time. So things are always in your favor.
Remember that each and every person that writes that exam gets 50% correct and 50% incorrect. It is the level that you are getting the majority of your correct answers at that will determine if you pass or not. This is the easiest way I know of to understand how they determine results.

And for my program, the Candidate report really does not make any issue. One will be preparing as if they have never tested before. Any questions that will be on your new exam most definitely were not on the first. But this is only if you need to take it.
Best of luck to you.
