Wait Listed!!!

I've been placed on the wait list at OU for their BSN program. Is there anyone who was placed on the wait list in 2013 selected??? I'm just curious what the odds of getting selected from the wait list are. I feel like I'm in limbo. Also does anyone know of anything that would help me to get selected from the waitlist?[/quote']

I'm in the ABSN program so possibly a little different from the traditional program, but I was told I was on the wait list in November I think it was and then got a call the very beginning of January saying I had a spot. For my program at least, we were numbered and they just went down the list as spots came available (people declined). There's nothing I could have done to better my chances. I e-mailed one of ladies asking how many people applied and she told me what number I was on the wait list, so you might try to do that! Like I said though ours might be different. This year we started with 38 whereas the tradition program has 106, so ours is probably less complicated.

The OKC campus advisor was at the Norman campus yesterday. She'll be there again this Friday in Wagner Hall from 1:30-3:30pm. I felt better after going over my application stats and talking to her... Asking specifics always helps when you're in limbo. The best advice I got was to do good this and summer semester because there could be a few who fail, don't meet reqs, or something else comes up and they drop. She also stressed keeping your records updated on Nursing CAS. Also, they won't start calling alternates (if they are accepted) for another two weeks or so. People have 10 days to decline a spot and it takes a few days to review the wait list. Hope that helps.
